ESU have now made the latest version of the ECoS manual available in English and French on their website.

Find it here.

Interesting that the date on the manual is March 2007 and the date on the website is 22/12/2007. What is even more interesting is that it has only been available for download for a day!

I have read new version, can't honestly find many changes very disappointing
I think this is the German version printed in March2207, and doesn't include any of the new software changes, amazed it's taken this long to translate

Don't get excited about this new version of the manual as it seems to be the same as the previous version.

It is a great pity that ESU can't produce a manual as good as their controller. I don't see why customers should struggle with German manuals when paying top money when the back up for non German speaker is so poor.

I confess I started it. I was not impressed with the 2nd edition and it is about time ESU got their finger out. I think the amount of english speaking people still outnumber the germans. If you buy mercedes, volkswagen, audi etc you get full english support. I accept it is difficult to compare car makers to model railway manufacturers but it is the principle. Sorry to rant but I feel quite strongly about this!

What about getting together to write our own manual in Wikipedia?

Oh good, I put my name to it too. ESU do seem to have a problem with their english support and this "new" manual underlines it. If we make them aware of it they should take notice. They do respond when questioned on the ESU forum so we need to inform them directly.
