The B Class HO Scale model is scheduled for a mid-2007 release. This should be a veru good model. I saw Aucsision models at the Melbourne show and the quality of detail was very good. These are well worth thinking about for the diesel enthusiast. These are expected for delivery in mid 2007 Price is $255-265 Australian, about 100 Quid.

The Aucsision website has some excellent cad drawings of the models.

These will be available in a variety of liveries including;

Original VR blue and gold

This version will feature the original VR blue and gold livery as it ran in the 1950's and 1960s, on B74 & B85.
Both locos will have single beam headlights, nose doors, fuel tank valances, original fabricated
bogies, original exhaust positions, and polished side numberplates.

The sound would be very similar to an American F3 or F7 so I'm sure you could get an American sound decoder to install if you wished.
i have my dad's tri-ang one from 1968 or something still works thats why i would like to get a new one with sound

Gauge issue - VR is a broad gauge system (5'3"). According to Leon Obergs Locomotives of Australia the only recorded working on standard gauge was when the NSWGR commandered the class leader to work a freight on her delivery run from Sydney . Bogies were changed at the NSW/Vic border

Of course the book's 20 years out of date so this may have changed.. [Looking through the spiel above , it has changed , but you'd need a version in the more garish colours of the private freight operators to run a standard gauge version. But this could enable you to run it along side ex NSWGR locos in various liveries in services with other private freight operators. What you'd do for state owned passsenger stock's another matter...]

No not this week - I'd better finish the shunting layout first.
