viesmann lighting ?

From the HO ones I see in the catalogue, it says: LED lighting 14 - 16 V AC / DC

I have Viessmann streetlights and run them from the 12 volt accessories outlet on my controller. [they're very good, too]

Edit They're said to be park lights but they line my street. Rated at 16volts but they work fine at 12.

It is my belief that they actually look better running at the lower voltage. Personally I really like the Viessmann equipment - not cheap but very well made.

thanks Guys, i bought a small one to fit over the engine shed door and then realised there was no mention of power supply, but i haven't built the engine shed either yet so no hurry!

Price wise Brawa are much cheaper. But they seem to be the same design as Viessmann?

I have 5 Brawa "HO" 'Charlottenburg' lamps on my station over bridge. I needed to remove their brass bases so as the lamp posts went into the pavement rather than standing on their bases on top of the pathway, as I believe they look better that way! I'm running these lamps on 12v dc, but the pack states that are suitable for up to 16v ac operation.
They cost me £7.50 each (From The Hobby Shop. Faversham. Kent) compared with the near identical version from Gaugemaster at £13.00 each

Best to ring them first 01795 531666 as they had to order in my five "HO" ones. Though there was some "N" gauge versions in stock.

As with all tungstone lamps/bulbs running them at 75% of the rated voltage will increase the life & the lights will look more realistic.

Most Viessmann/Brawa lamps are rated at around 16v AC so they will be OK on 12v DC.

LED's will often look more realistic on a reduced voltage.

Some Viessmann & Brawa lights look so identical they could very well come from the same source.

I think the latest Brawa catalogue said that they were going to start putting led's in all their new lamps.
