Hello

As a newbie to digital getting help from this forum I would
appreciate any views on the Viessmann decoder. It's my first
purchase and I am about to try and install it in an Athearn diesel.
For future purchases should I try different makes or is Viessmann
one of the better ones.

Although I've used many Viessmann products (& cannot praise them enough) I've not yet tried the Viessmann decoders (must try one day though). At the moment, my decoders of choice are the ESU Lokpilot & Lenz Gold/Silver. I have heard favourable reports about the new TCS, but that does not have constant braking distance which is a must for me.

I am not a diesel fan but just happen to have one already in pieces.
At the moment trying to figure out how to remove the motor without
damage so that I can isolate it from the chassis.
