QUOTE (Brian Considine @ 21 Oct 2012, 06:49) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>See post #4 for a good reason.

Also because several modellers have nostalgic connections to their Lima locos and/or some of the Class 37s were Limited Editions.

Its also possible to sell the spare VT body on ebay for a few ponds as well. Biggest issue is drilling out the Lima body and installing the VT light blocks

& don't forget that ViTrains were formed by ex-Lima people who continued in the direction Lima were heading for quality wise. Yes, there are some issues such as light bleed through the bodies, but a far cry from the 70's Lima.

I have a couple of ViTrains SNCB OHE locomotives & they are as good as anything from the Fleischmann/Roco/MarTrix stables.

I came back across this thread and made me think how ViTrains locos have been creeping up in price - must be the time of year on ebay (Xmas).

I cannot see many now for less than £50 (with some topping at £80 which is what you pay for Bmann) on BIN whereas less than a year ago even Hattons had them on Bargain price for £40-45 - glad I snaffled 'em when I did. Maybe ppl have cottoned on they are (were) pretty good VFM...
