We are running my ViTrains Class 37 with the Hornby Elite DCC Console on Doug's layout and we have picked up an issue which causes a short. There is a spring on the underside of the chassis at each end that centers the coupling hook. When entering an overly sharp inclined section of track the outer set of axles/wheels on each bogie touch the spring creating a short. The answer is to have a a gentle transition into a gradient however this would lead to an extended length of gradient which could have an implication for track plan designs which incorporate multi level working and inclines.
