I recall seeing an N gauge model of Padstow at an exhibition in Southampton (Lordshill) a few years back, sorry can't remember whose layout it was. The 'O' gauge clip was probably the one featured in BRM about 5 years back, I'll try and dig it out. Many moons ago 'Modeller's BackTrack' featured a model of Wadebridge in 'OO'.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's the school; the exhibition has always been a nightmare with a buggy as it's on about 5 sifferent levels!

I've been planning to start a model of Padstow in OO for years now, but haven't got any further than planning ... and buying lots of books. At least rolling stock is getting easier and easier, what with the Hornby spamcans, T9 and Maunsells, plus the Bachamnn N , 4666 and 4569.

QUOTE (frame69 @ 27 Jan 2009, 12:46) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I've been loking for actual footage of the branch but all I found is 3/4 mins of it on "the withered arm " video. Our museum has a fair bit of info on it,and a lot of the local 60+ used it to get to school so there is lots of stories. The iron bridge at petherick creek is quite unique for the west country and its only 10 min walk from my house. some good photos on Ron Stutts fotopic site

Lucky devil! I've walked and cycled the Wadebridge to Padstow stretch a fair few times over the years, whilst on holiday. Mind blowing scenery on a clear summer's day; and somewhat bracing in midwinter !

Anyway, the Treneglos team have a good listing of useful books on their Fotopic site:-
