QUOTE (dwb @ 3 Dec 2007, 20:25) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I got "back packed" a couple of times and I don't normally.

Yes! Me too, after everything I said in the defence of packpacks, I was almost knocked off my feet by a hickers rucksack! Unbelievable why anyone would need to carry something like that around....

Also as Birtho said, the lighting really was dreadful. I also agress with Pedro and gary that perhaps it would have been better to use the space at the front of the hall properly.

BUt...It was a truly great show. Anyone not there has missed out. For me the layouts were the best over the last 5 years Ive been to Warley.

Well done WMRC.

Yes thats the model of the Boyne Viaduct. Its a great model of a very intersting bridge. At one point in the past it was of course a two road bridge but the centre span was reduced to single track many years ago as when the bridge was strengthened (I believe in the 1930's) the clearance was reduced so that it was not possible for double track. The track work is very interesting as there are no points but instead the tracks overlap, allowing the posibility of a head on crash! Its a great bridge on the Belfast to Dublin mainline.
