Hi Tony, I really like the short video clip on post #175, thats a great layout you have. I especially like the rock outcrops near the tunnels, do you remember what method you used? I am looking to create some 'Peak District' limestone rock outcrops for my layout soon, so would be grateful of any advice
cheers

Hi Tony, good to see the G.V.R on page one! I have just been right back to page one and read the whole thread.... a great read and some inspirational pictures.... we've been very snowed under, up in the 'Peak District', so not been able to have any leisure time out in the shed! But reading this thread has made me determined to restart again this weekend!( as long as the forecast snow this week ain't too deep!)
Keep the photo's coming... I think the LNWR station buildings look great....
Cheers, joe

Great video clip Tony, thanks for sharing...... and another view of that scenery... great stuff....reminds me of Chee Dale and Rusher Cutting on the 'owd Midland line, just down the road from where I live...
Double heading a train looks very impressive, especially with large radius curves, please post more clips of the GVR!
regards, joe

Hi Tony, just catching up on your latest posts..... another great set of inspiring photo's of your layout and stock! You have a such a great collection of loco's... I'm really liking the Garrett running light engine photo and I'm a fan of the Blue Pullman, really good to see a full 6 car Midland set running.
I sold mine and seeing yours has made me think about having another! I have a few items left......now where did i leave them
Tony, how many loco's do you have / run on the GVR?
Keep the photo's and video clips coming please .... Joe

Hi Tony, re the question asked on Post #466, about the overbridge just before a tunnel entrance.
There is a very similar set up up at Grindleford station on the Hope Valley line in Derbyshire. If you use Google Images 'Grindleford Station' , you'll see a prototype for your station overbridge in front of a tunnel entrance... though it doesnt have the third entrance !
Good to see the G.V.Ris going strong.... keep it up

Hi Tony, glad to see the GVR in 'action'.... a pleasure as all ways.

I really liked the video of the A4 and Silver Jubilee train, especially about 1m 17s, great 'clackety clack - clackety clack' sound (not sure if that's the best way of describing it!)' of the wheels passing over a joint, gave it extra realism.

keep up the good work.... and keep posting. :)

Hi Tony, whilst looking back through the pages of the GVR layout history, I saw a couple of shots that showed you have a LMS Garratt, can you tell me a bit more about it?
Is it a White metal kit or a motorised Kitmaster plastic kit? , how does it perform? What sort of radius curves does the GVR have, and how does the Garratt cope?
I really like these powerful looking loco's and am considering looking out for one in the near future ....

best regards

Thanks for the update Tony.
I hope you have success with the T/T, I wish I had space for one on my layout.
Keep us posted on the rebuild of the ' solder station' into the new freight yard and loco shed area.
cheers

Tony, thanks for posting a great video of your 'extensive' layout..... loved the double header expresses, most impressive! I really like the use of the layout being on different levels and all the cuttings, bridges and tunnels that go with it..... excellent!
