Wessex Wagons will be launching at least six new limited edition wagons in local liveries at Rail-Ex Taunton-Southwest this coming weekend 8th/9th October. This is one of the largest shows in the UK with 30 layouts, 30+ traders, demonstrations, displays and societies, etc, present. The show is at Richard Huish College, South Rd, Taunton, Somerset (5 mins. drive from Junc 25 on M5). Open 10.30-5.00 both days.
Some of the wagons launched will be as shown here although several have yet to be revealed by Wessex Wagons. Wessex Wagons have built up a niche following supplying wagons to Thomas Hardy country modellers. They undertake extensive research of rolling stock in the area.

CLARKE of Weymouth. Clarkes were coal wholesalers who had an extensive delivery network in the town. In addition, they bought in bulk from the coalfields and sold on to local merchants in south Dorset.
