Going back a ways and pertinent to any model railway;
I have been to Miniatur Wunderland and never recall seeing any such pull over screens, of course when the great unwashed arrived the whole place is open, now they have plastic screens to reduce activity between German backpack man and the railway dioramas, yes backpacks are a real menace in this place as they sort of double the size of any already well fed German, my wife however being responsible for attacking the chocolate factory, hmm quite tasty.
I do recall however cleaning crews who armed with a variety of equipment keep the dreaded dust away but these people go to work when visitors have gone away.
