I have read and studied the Fleischmann Class 614 DMU running instructions pamphlet and I am unable to find any reference to the use of a counter sunk screw.
Looking at the underside of the powered bogy, a counter sunk headed screw is seen in the centre of bogy - carefully, unscrew the said screw reveals a hole.
The hole bottom part is partially solid - can this be used to lubricate the inside where the bogy wheels axles are located at each end?
I notice that my other Fleischmann models, fitted with pancake type motors, the bogies also have this counter sunk headed screw.
I would guess, that this counter sunk screw is part of Fleischmann designed type models - the question being, what is the purpose of the counter sunk screw and hole?
Any information would be most appreciated.
