Looks like the new Shinkansen, but I could be wrong.

The Lloyds cartoon one is fantasy. It arrives on time, departs on time, is like the Tardis on the inside and goes quite fast by the look of it... I think that in the last ad it flew too...
I think its supposed to be a Shinkansen 500. but its really a cartoon and its impossible to tell. ]

As DBclass50 said. i find the M&S advert conciderably prettier on all fronts!

Yup - a very nice Wagon lits set with loads of marquetry and luxury, all rather charmingly set off withsome lovely ladies.

I really thought it was a mixture of the Shhinkansen, Eurostar, Thalys, A TARDIS and a warped imagination!

not QUITE such a fantasy idea, Doug.......I watched a nice prog on...channel 5[??...not sure..??], the other night, on the Mumbai [Bombay] commuter railways....especially the Central Railway.

It was a very intriguing overview of the railway, its staff, it abilities, and the environment it has built up.

Anyhow...in an 'interview' with one of the proud managers...it was proclaimed, the railway has a 97% ontime record...with reliability anything in the UK would die for!

plus, a fare ratio of pennies per kilometer!

not to mention loadings that would make LT's Underground look like a branchline shuttle.

trains are not quite so pretty as Lloyd's, though..
