Bought myself a new (old) train book by Gustav Reder. It's a massive tome of 300+ pages on the history of steam locomotives and unlike others that concentrate on US prototype this covers much of Europe which is rare in an English language book. For once I can leave my German dictionary on the shelf.
I purchased 2 locos on the weekend at the Perth Model Railway Exhibition here in Western Australia. #1 was a Fowler 4P in the Hornby alternate LMS numbering - AU$110 and #2 was the streamlined burgandy coloured Coronation Duchess of Norfolk AU$135 - both locos by Hornby and DCC ready. I was most pleased with the prices to be honest.
