Hi Mike,
Personally I wouldn't bother. I had the same problem with a little GF 0-6-0 and I simply ordered a new set of wheels, pre-quartered and with a factory fitted drive cog from the GF web site spares page. Cost - a fiver.
They were despatched by post the same day.
