Welcome, Graham, to the Forum.
There were some previous postings on 'Zero 1' equipment a year or two ago. Use the search facility top right to locate these. Pat Hammond's book "The Story of Rovex Vol 3 1972-1996" has a couple of pages on Zero 1 which include diagrams of the way the controllers connect together and the installation of a 'chip' in a loco.
ZTC Controls (www.ztccontrols.co.uk) can give limited support on Zero 1 - one of their blokes was involved with the development of Zero 1, so I've been told.
