I spoke to the new owner at the show at the weekend, he was very personable (quite unlike the original owner!).
The stand was very much like the old ZTC stand, lots of shelves of stuff at the back and a short section of track with a controller at the front for demoes.
I asked about repairs/warranties for old units and he was a bit cagey, asked what was wrong, and I said nothing yet, so no ideas about costs for these.
Availability shouldn't be an issue though, he said he'd been concentrating on the manufacturing side and he had pretty much the entire old ZTC range in stock except for a couple of small items which would be available in a matter of a few weeks.
I have the contact details etc. but not on me, I'll post them up later if I remember, but he should be able to sort something out re repairs.
As for the website, that should be up soon, but effort has been put into the manufacturing side first, so that any demand created by a shiny new website could be met, a sensible way round which a lot of other firms could learn from!
Overall impression was good, the old ZTC issues are still there, but it looks like the business aspects have been sorted out properly now. It will be interesting to see which direction they go now.
