Hi Alan,
Totally agree with J, that area has really come together well & love the slight differences in greenery / shading in particular the lighter shades on the Willow which make it stand out even more - some really great modelling there; also as J has already said the overgrown derelict building is a very nice detail too.
Hopefully was a relaxing scenery day maybe fueled from yesterday's Show insparations or perhaps a rest after the journey back - either way good stuff.
Cheers for now & Happy Modelling, Norm

That's coming along a real treat. Am I seeing a little less of the ruined building, under some added leafy stuff? I really like the building, something not often seen and perfectly portrayed.

Best regards
J

P.S. I'm pleased to see that Willy C had such confidence in victory, that he brought his layout with him..... {Although, in truth, his descendants haven't looked after that Class 08 very well. Just sayin'.}
Thanks Julian
I'm pleased so far.
The 08 has been subjected to a hard life and so I decided to cut inspection hatch out one side and treat it to real rust. This loco number was allocated to Hither green originally and cut up at Crewe in 1983

Yes once I'd had a good night's sleep with the aid of a glass of red I was really keen to push on with it.
Still more to do but track next once I have everything ready.

Thanks Julian

Willy C's descendants must have been pleased with the price they, eventually, got for the 08, when sold to Hither Green. Mind you, that graffiti has fared much better than the loco, heirloom or not! :ROFLMAO:

Well here we are on a not so tidy Friday
Oh dear. Stuff has arrived from a job lot purchase from someone local to me and I was not prepared for the amount of rubbish and good stuff mind that has arrived. So it's a very untidy Friday and alot of research to do
Not to mention I now have most things I need to revamp MY and install point servos. I may be gone for some time.

Evening all
Hope your all enjoying Sunday MR time.
Honest opinions please, what sort of tree is this. View attachment 30866
Evergreen perhaps - like the detail on the trunk looks good.
The canopy does remind me a little of the unfolded plastic xmas tree ;)
What did you use to make this one, including the trunk cover - clay over wire perhaps ?
Cheers for now & Happy Modelling, Norm

Ok
It's wire and clay painted trunk and layers of scatter built up.

I have these semaphore signals if anyone is interested
I'm obviously too far away to collect, but they do look like a likely candidate for 3D printing. Will investigate as I have found a nice water tank for printing and just waiting on some colour filaments to arrive.

Does anyone know where i can buy enthusiasm as i seem to of lost three buckets of it somewhere down the line(scuse the pun)
Waiting for the last of track parts i ordered and the thought of making all the brackets for servo's has put me in a state.
