Graham Farish model 371-111A, Class 31 loco, comes with an on boards speaker. I'm reasonably new to DCC. Fitted a DCC chip. What else do I need to do to get sound working?

Graham Farish model 371-111A, Class 31 loco, comes with an on boards speaker. I'm reasonably new to DCC. Fitted a DCC chip. What else do I need to do to get sound working?
The spec says DCC ready. Needs to be a sound decoder with sound file loaded(circa £120)- I'm guessing you've fitted a standard decoder (circa £25)?
