PRATT-TRUSS GANTRY - Hand rail height

Hi all, I've built the Ratio model, but I would like to add a hand rail, as the model looks wrong with no safety handrail fitted.

My qusetion, The model appears very similar to the gantry at Llandudno, which a 1987 photo shows had a single hand rail - how I would like to make my model.
Later in its life, it aquired a double horizontal hand rail.
Q. What height would the single, or top hand rail be at? Is there a regulation height?

A link to the single hand rail photo;

regards

Joe

Hi Joe,
Further to Jeff's suggestion above, there are quite a lot of detailed signal dimensioned diagrams on line such as on the LMS Societies website or no doubt The Signal Box website too, including handrails - so might be worth a search / look.
On the Dapol signals the handrails are 10mm above the platform, so circa 760mm at full scale / 1:1 -

Also Ratio provide handrails with a lot of there signal kits - the likes of Shedman / John on here has added plenty to his model signals & sure will be able to advise.
In terms of the addition of the second crossrail, this like in the world of scaffolding came about to reduce the risk of folks falling between the large gap under the single handrail - scaffolds being 950mm top handrail & no gaps greater than 470mm below : Building Regs have similar requirements for stairs; so no doubt there will be Railway Regs somewhere too or Guidelines at least.
Cheers for now, Norm

Hi Joe,
I used these doubles on ratio signals. Top rail is 14mm =3 1/2 ft in OO so about waist height for the average person. They do a single rail which I guess would be at same height.
An example of what they look like-

So this is where we are.., Ratio gantry & Ratio L&NWR signalposts, it will have poseable signal arms,(eventually) nothing worse than watching a 'SPAD'.
There will be arms for the loops in one direction and an Adv Starter / Distant for next B/section in the other.... not that my layout has Block Sections - but will make it more 'interesting'..
