<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Or if you want to go completely mad - have a look for this set

That looks a very nice set! I like Reynaulds for research and the detail of information, but I think their prices are absolutely outrageous. Am I the only one that thinks this way?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hi Wolferz,
You've picked my railway!!!
Not that I have any special authority on it, of course! I know of at least two other Brits who have fully working railways set in Prussian times! It's just that I've been modelling and collecting Prussian stuff for several years now so do know a little bit about it.
Please beware that earlier models from Fleischman, Lilliput, Piko & Trix can have inaccurate liveries as well as inadequate drives in certain cases (Lilliput!).
Real Prussian locos had a wonderful dark olive green livery on the upper works and a dark red/brown livery on wheels and under-frame.
Generally speaking, prior to WW1 the green was lined with fine red lining, during and after the war, the lining disappeared and postwar, the KPEV imperial 'Eagle' was removed.

A wonderful review of various Prussian models is available here:

Regarding acquisitions of stock, all I can say is - keep on with how you are going and be patient! I have been waiting years to obtain at 'reasonable' prices, certain coaches and open wagons. They are available but I refuse to pay "new" prices for quite old models! I'd rather wait until the manufacturer releases them again, if that's the case.
Certainly, on German ebay, there is a lot of stuff available but often the seller won't ship abroad or, if they do, they don't use Paypal as they think bank transfer is cheap! It is - in Europe but certainly not in the UK!
It IS difficult to obtain things, especially if you are on a budget - my only way of getting round this is to sell off things I no longer require until I can afford what I want/need.
Hope This Helps,
John.
I appreciate all the information! I have the Fleishmann 5800, 5801, 5802, and 5803 models for a total of 7 cars. I wish I had known about the issue with Liliput, the offer I had made was for a Liliput model. I thought the Rheingold set I got from them was so detailed that I wanted to give one of their Loks a try. I bought this one for about $77 US from guess where? The UK! I hope that it turns out to be a good model. Let me know what you think of it if you care to look it up? I also agree with you about Bank Transfer. It is ridiculously steep here in the US as well. Ta for now.
