Today’s work.
I made some pavers/slabs out of dense packing sponge type stuff, painted them grey with Humbrol enamel paint, and edged them with a bit of moss verdigris mould weathering powder.

I shall blend them in a bit more with other landscaping materials later.

Some further tweaking to the work I did on Thursday. Apparently I‘ve been kit bashing.
Using the old Metcalfe footbridge that the FIL built 20 years ago, I’ve added a couple of walls to the top of the church steps which I used from peeling away a piece from the bridge, ditto the coping stone from the other steps to use on top of the new walls.

Above photo shows some of the steps and path to the pub. (Glue is still wet).

The Fragrant MrsE has made another allotment, what she calls a ‘gorilla’ allotment, it’s unofficial.

Some lovely detailing going on there
Hope the pubs PL Insurance is up-to-date for when the customers trip on them slabs! Being drunk would only be a partial defence since the landlord had got them in that state🤣

But that many beers might numb the pain too eh - at least for a while ;)

Tripping on the slabs is the least of their worries when they see the ghost train going past.

I keep imagining the kneeling guy as some sort of garden superhero—he’s just landed from a great height and struck the classic ‘I’ve Landed’ pose, ready to assist the distressed bloke on the far right.
Some really fine details on those ModelU figures inc the forks prongs, deffo need a lot of care cutting them free from the mould; as for the kneeling gardener, that could be the safe home for your copper tube chimney extension, paint it orange with a green top & he can be pulling out a giant carrot - safe home for a year maybe ;)
