Hi im just at the track laying stage (OO) now and after that would like to put in some line side fencing. I would like this to be the post and rail type. I can only find ready made in small quantities and im going to need 20ft+ of it. I really do not have the skill or patience to make it. Anybody know where I can get large amounts without spending stupid money?

When I was faced with this problem, firstly I used Hornby stuff but because it was to high (about the same height as fully grown men and women) I converted it from four rail down to three. It did work out quite expensive.

For road side fencing, I managed to find some Atlas stuff which was old stock and quite cheap. The only down side with this stuff was that to match the Hornby fencing, it to had to be cut down.

All in all it was an expensive exercise but it tends to set off the railway.

For that length it would be better to have something that follows the countour of the land unless you are modelling the fens. So rigid stuff is probably out. Other alternatives are the Peco stuff which I dislike as it does not go together well, matchsticks and cotton, very cheap and flexible an dfor my money looks OK except in a detail close up and then various other methods of posts and wires.
